Terms of use
Effective October 28, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Winding AI Inc. (Winding Labs, "we") for Mechy: the app at mechy.si/app, the iPhone and Android apps, and this website. By using Mechy you agree to them.
1. Repair guidance and your safety
Mechy's guides are written by AI and can be wrong. They are general information to help you, not professional advice and not a replacement for the maker's manual, your training, local codes or your site's safety rules.
- You decide whether you can do a job safely, and you are responsible for how you do it. If anything in a guide doesn't match what you see, stop.
- Follow the safety steps in every guide: lockout and tagout, blocking raised loads, relieving pressure, letting things cool, and turning off the power.
- Never work under a load held up only by hydraulics, a jack or a crane.
- Torque values, pressures, capacities and part numbers are flagged to check. Check them against the maker's manual before you rely on them.
- Work on gas, mains electrical panels, structural parts, multi-piece rims, accumulators and other stored-energy parts needs a qualified professional. Where a guide says to call a pro or the dealer, do.
- Mechy can't see your machine in person, can't know its condition, and doesn't know what isn't in your photos.
2. Accounts
You can make your first guide without an account. To make more, save or share guides, you need an account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us at hello@mechy.si if someone else used your account. You must be at least 13 to use Mechy.
3. Your content
Your photos, voice notes and requests stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them to make and show your guides, to keep Mechy safe, and to fix problems. Only upload things you have the right to share, and don't upload other people's private information.
4. License to publish reviewed guides
A guide Mechy makes for you can help other people with the same job. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to copy, edit and publish the steps and drawings of guides made from your requests in Mechy's public catalog and in our marketing, after a person has reviewed the guide for safety. A published copy never includes your photos, voice recordings, name or anything that identifies you. You can ask us to remove a published copy made from your request at hello@mechy.si.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Mechy to break the law, to get around safety devices or emissions controls, to make weapons, to harass anyone, or to overload, probe or copy the service. Don't resell Mechy or its guides without our written permission. We may refuse requests that look unsafe and suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. Plans and payment
- Free: your first guide without an account, then 3 guides a month with a free account.
- Pro is a subscription, paid yearly or monthly on the web through Stripe. It renews automatically until you cancel.
- Cancel any time on the web (Settings, then Manage subscription). Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
- If we change a price, we tell you before it applies to your next renewal.
- Teams and pilots are under a separate written agreement.
7. Our content
The Mechy name, the mascot, the website, the public catalog and the drawings are ours. You may print and share public guides for personal use or for your own team's work.
8. No warranty
Mechy is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, including that guides are accurate, complete or fit for your machine or purpose.
9. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for damage to property or injury caused by following, or not following, a guide. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
10. Ending
You can stop using Mechy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or to protect people or the service.
11. Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. If we change them, we update the date at the top and tell you in the app if the change matters. Questions: hello@mechy.si, Winding AI Inc., Mill Valley, California, USA.
