What it means

The controller commanded the starter but didn't see voltage come back on the starter feedback circuit. The engine may not crank.

Usually, if the machine runs normally: finish the job carefully and fix it soon. Stop if the machine derates, overheats, loses power or the code comes with an alarm.

Check first

  1. Park on level ground, lower the lift arms and attachment to the ground, stop the engine and remove the key.
  2. Check battery voltage, then clean and tighten the battery cables and ground straps. Bobcat notes that loose or corroded grounds can set several codes at once.
  3. Check the fuses and relays for that circuit using the fuse decal or the O&M manual.
  4. Inspect the small feedback wire and connector at the starter for corrosion or damage.
  5. Restart and see if the code comes back. If it does, stop and call your Bobcat dealer.

  • Weak battery or bad battery cables
  • Blown fuse or failed starter relay
  • Open wire or moisture in a connector in the starter circuit
  • Failing starter or starter solenoid
