Bobcat code DR-2: Drive response setting (not a fault)
What it means
DR-2 isn't a fault code. On loaders with Selectable Joystick Controls (SJC), the display briefly shows the drive response setting: DR-1 smooth, DR-2 normal (the default) and DR-3 quick.
Can I keep running?
OK to run, check itYes. It is information or a minor fault: check it when you can, and clear the code once fixed.
Check first
- Park on level ground, lower the lift arms and attachment to the ground, stop the engine and remove the key. Then look for real service codes: press the Information button until the service code screen appears.
- To change drive response, follow the Drive Response steps in your O&M manual.
Likely causes
- The display shows the current setting after you press Press to Operate Loader
- Someone changed or saved the setting for your user
The fix
Nothing to fix. If the machine drives oddly, look for actual service codes rather than the DR setting.
Different code on your screen? Snap the display and Mechy reads it.
